I called Precise... read more Garage Doors Service this morning around 9:00 am. They  were courteous and as an immediate perk, they do not have an inspection or service charge - free inspection and virtually an immediate repair cost price! I had previously called another garage door company who charged a $120 inspection fee whether any work was done or not and it was not deductible for any work done.  So, I made an appointment with Precise  for between 2pm - 4pm, then they were able to move the time up to between noon and 2 pm. Just before noon, Shaun?Sean? arrived. I thought the door would need to be replaced but was told it could be repaired although it would have a few dents but that were not glaringly noticeable. We got a price of a few hundred dollars, accepted it, and within an hour or so, the needed parts were gathered and installed  and the repair was made! The door is now working fine! We saved over $1,000 by not needing to purchase a new door after all. No wonder they are the top-rated garage door service company in San Diego County! Well done. When we need a new garage door this is the company we will definitely use.

I called around 12:30 PM and the team arrived at... read more 2:00 PM and went to work.  The team replaced all of the wheels, bottom plate, and tension spring, and fine-tuned the door.

1.5 hours or so later, the door operates like new.  The price of the repair is considerably cheaper than a new door for a two-car garage.

They set aside the old parts to view, 100% professional and customer-focused.

I'd hire them again when and if needed.

Used PGDS 3 times and had a very positive experience each time.

The first time I was having trouble opening my gate with my remote. After... read more seeing 2 other companies that told me I needed new gate openers/ keypad ($5000+) the PGDS tech said it could be fixed with a new receiver/ remote for around $300. Gate has worked flawlessly since then.

Late Saturday night garage door attachment to the wall broke (wood split). Garage door was unable to open. Jose came by the next morning and repaired the connection. Although he noticed some rust on my spring and suggested it could break any time I opted to roll the dice and leave it as it.

About 1 month later, as Jose suggested it might, the spring broke and again stopped the door from being opened. Jose returned the next day and replaced all the hardware (as he originally recommended) so that this will not happen again. They honored their original agreement to devote half of the original repair if the door failed w/in a specified time period (which they didn't have to).

Screw him, I called around and found Precise and in 2 days Ivan (sorry if I got your name wrong) came out. After inspection he suggested some maintenance to the chain, rollers, track, and spring and now we're back in business without needing a new motor. Ivan even told me what to do going forward in terms of self maintenance for minor issues. I'm a business owner myself and I feel I can recognize an empathetic and engaged employee and a company's moral compass when I see it. For an honest look and a reputable business that will stand behind their work, no matter how small the job, give Precise the opportunity to help. I'll definitely come back to them when I have issues I can't resolve.

David did a complete and thorough check of the doors, door openers, and springs.  He had a specific recommendation to tighten the tension on one of the the springs along with lubrication.  No up-selling.  Simple, honest and direct preventive maintenance - exactly what I was looking for.  David explained everything in clear terms and answered all my questions.  He was efficient and quickly developed trust and confidence.
