They arrived at the very end of their provided time window, clearly rushed. After a quick look, the technician immediately said he needed to "open the spring" to determine pricing because there are different types and lengths. When I asked for at least a rough estimate first, he became defensive and told me I "should have asked for that," which felt dismissive and unhelpful. I declined to proceed and asked him to leave. About 10-15 minutes later, he actually rang my doorbell again and said his "boss" could do the job for $300. At that point, I no longer trusted the process or the pricing. Overall, the whole interaction felt like a bait-and-switch: avoid giving any estimate, push for opening up the system, and then come back with a pressured price drop after I refused.
